Helping women in the world of physics to feel
valuable, powerful, and supported.
The Georgia Institute of Technology’s Society of Women in Physics (SWiP) encourages the interest and leadership of women in physics. We spread awareness of the achievements and impact of female physicists to women of all ages through service and outreach, and support both the academic and professional development of current female physicists. SWiP strives to bring together women physicists at all career levels to establish lasting mentoring relationships, and to support a safe and welcoming community for women.
We aim to help reshape implicit bias against women and minorities in physics and academia, by fostering equity and inclusivity in our Georgia Tech community to the best of our ability.
